Please reach out in March 2025.** I've been working in Distribution and Logistics since 2006. I started right out of high school as an order selector at Ollie's Bargain Outlets in Harrisburg PA. There I learned the basics of warehousing and landed a position in the Transportation department. My job was setting the truck schedules for all the Ollie's stores up and down the east coast. I worked there until 2013. I then tried a different carrier path in the medical field where I learned quickly it was not for me. I joined Riviana Foods, formally known as New World Pasta, in 2014 as a Transportation Coordinator. I would audit transportation invoices, confirm or deny any accessorial charges, and work with carriers on spot rates. In 2019, I was promoted to Transportation Specialist. I am more involved with carrier contracts, rate negotiating, and I help manage schedules for all 5 DCs and our plants across the country.
