About Jill Bauld

I am passionate about finding creative and innovative solutions to delivering services and ensuring people who use and deliver those services are at the heart of things. I have abroad experience of working in Local Government and health services, quite often looking at how to connect with the most marginalised people in our communities. I have worked in Arts development in the NE of Scotland and have managed large scale funded projects that have developed local communities and supported wide ranging health and well being initiatives. I have been involved in change management with different staff groups and partners and have enjoyed the challenge and rewards of this sort of work. I am always up for a challenge, I bring enthusiasm and passion to everything I do. I have enjoyed working within the world of Special Educational Needs and disabilities across the thematic groups for SEN reform with Newcastle City Council. I have worked as an associate with In Control, a national charity, and managed their subscriptions across Local Authorities in the North West as well as delivered their support around SEND youth Involvement nationally. I have worked for DWP as part of their national team of community partners to support culture change and enable staff to work with customers with complex needs. I have rolled out a training program for hundreds of people across Northumberland Tyne and Wear. Training packages have included, person centred approaches, EHC planning, safeguarding,Carers awareness, disability awareness, drug and alcohol awareness, sensory disabilities etc. I am currently working with Newcastle City Council and the ICB ensuring the voice of our SEND children and young people and parent/ carers are at the heart of the services they use. We are working hard at ‘getting it right together’ and have youth voice trainees who are working alongside us to ensure that happens well. I have a specific interest in graphic reporting and use this as a way to make sure key messages from families are heard by all in an accessible way.
