About Jill Kaczmarek

I've had the opportunity to instruct students the last 16 years in Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I've instructed students in the curricular areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Technology, focusing on standards-based instruction and grading. I've worked on differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students and giving students opportunities for enrichment and remediation. I've assessed student performance through the use of formative and summative assessments and student self-reflection. As an Instructional Coach for 2 years, I've worked with teaching staff on aligning Math and Language Arts Standards and identifying the standards that are a priority for the year. Currently we've aligned our Social Studies and Science Curriculum with I can statements and those of priority. I've helped our staff focus on staff professional development through the use of common planning time and meeting with individual teachers with curriculum related topics. I've analyzed testing data (both curricular and standardized tests) and identifying those students who need enrichment or remediation. I've led the Student Assistance Team (SAT) to determine interventions needed for students who are in the need of enrichment or extra assistance to meet grade level.
