About Jillian Semple

From an early age, most of my time was spent playing sports. That lead me to search for a career that combined education and athletics. I am now in the process of completing the Recreation and Leisure Services Diploma program at Humber College. I am currently a varsity athlete and national champion. I attribute teamwork to being the corner stone to my success. Since I started in the work force I have held jobs in in a wide variety of areas. From housekeeping to hostessing, coaching to promoting, I have gained valuable knowledge from all of my experiences, honing my leadership and organizational skills. Flexible, adaptable and resilient, I am an action orientated doer who is constantly searching for new things to try and experience. I thrive on learning through hands on interaction and I am willing to get involved at the grassroots level. I had the privilege of being chosen to attend a service trip to Ecuador with Me to We and Girl Guides of Canada. There, I discovered that I am passionate about helping others in a meaningful way. I also have been fortunate enough to have been given opportunities to contribute as a coach and mentor with Ski Hill Blues and the Milton Heights Racing Club. I would like to see myself in a position to empower and educate youth though sport, predominantly in developing countries. I love to explore the world and one day hope to reach every continent, absorbing and learning form every culture I pass through.
