About Jo Adell

I have just gotten housing after being homeless and couch surfing for nine years. I am ready to start working and am researching webstore options for selling my art. I am not in a position to pay for any kind of web design or other services you may want to offer. I am open to barter. After a lifetime spent in the FIne Craft, Functional Art and FIne Jewelry business, I launched knot-working in 1996. I provide pearl and gemstone bead stringing and jewelry construction services to many nationally known designers and top-of-the-line galleries. In addition I have created a line of decorative objects incorporating gems, bells and crystals, and a series of notecards based on my embroidery designs. I also own and operate Aikidogs Pet Care and reiki. I am a working art and print model, currently exploring various alternative approaches to the human body as Art Object, A trained Dancer in several styles, I have enjoyed performing in various venues as the College of Marin, Renaissance Faires an other interactive theatrical environments, both as a Stage and a Street performer. I am constantly seeking other creative outlets and partnerships. I am most fulfilled by knowing that I have participated in the creative process of many other talented people. I an an autistic self-advocate and have been homeless since 2014 In early 2008 I created Aikidogs, providing dog care, walking, boarding,basic training and reiki healing services. Combining my lifetime experience with dogs from showing, breeding,training and kennel management with my training in Aikido I am working on developing a system of dog handling, or "wrangling", as I have found that I can apply both physical and philosphical principles of aikido to training and managing dogs much bigger than myself. In 2012 I founded the Filaments Project.
