About Joanne Delve

I have developed a strong understanding of sports development, community development, community involvement, health promotion and community participation. I have significant experience of working with children, young people, and their families. My current role requires me to develop and facilitate projects and programmes to support the health and wellbeing of young people and their families. These programmes educate, support, and influence behavioural changes to support young people and their families to acquire the skills and confidence to take greater control over their health and wellbeing, make the very best of every opportunity that is presented to them, reach their full potential and be healthy and happy. I have great interpersonal skills; this is evident in my success in creating partnerships. I have a good rapport with my colleagues. I am always willing to go above and beyond to achieve my goals and support my colleagues. I am positive and enthusiastic; I thrive in a busy environment and can be classed as a team player, but I am also very capable of working independently and using my initiative. I flourish on building relationships and developing them to allow partnerships to be productive and effective. Feedback from the partners that I work with has identified that I am a motivated, open, confident person and have exceptional enthusiasm, drive, and passion. I am creative and innovative, producing and developing resources and training to provide sustainable programmes for use in schools and communities that are fun, developmental, educational and enjoyable for young people and their families to engage in and have positive experiences. I have advanced my ability to lead by completing an essential management skills course and ILM Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I have worked in the Sports industry for 17 years, and have vast experience from across the sector.
