About Jobeda Shahed

I have a passion for working with people. I love to work with a team, sharing ideas, collaboratively working to achieve common goals and success. My initial work experience is centered around supporting unemployed people through direct interventions such as assessment of individuals skills and experience. This quickly developed into a management leadership role where I was building relationships with key stakeholders and partnerships whom the business was dependent on. the majority of my work history has been a on introducing, developing, delivering, marketing and then leading the Workwise project. This was a project aimed at supporting unemployed people back into work through the provision of free transport. The aim of the project was not only to increase employment but also encourage sustainable travel to the workplace. This is an award-winning project, often cited as best practice withing the transport industry. I began to develop and deliver the project in 2003 serving the local area however, by 2017 I had expanded the project to enabling it to support the whole of the West Midlands and also secured private investment, taking away the reliance on public funding. I have a law degree and have completed my APM foundation level qualification. I have a wealth of skills and experience which provide me with an outstanding ability to work exceptionally well with people in a way that nurtures success and satisfaction.
