About Joe Ramsay

Principals in Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) schools actively participate with the PBL school leadership team to ensure whole-school behaviour support is included in school improvement planning. Principals also facilitate access to professional learning opportunities for all staff to enhance their skills to support student behaviour. I am an insightful and accomplished Senior Constable and Youth Programme Coordinator skilled in developing the organisational capacity and strong stakeholder relations that lead to exceptional outcomes. I am an energetic and clear-sighted leader whose advanced interpersonal skills have see me communicating with influence across all levels. I am also deeply committed to developing my team, driving performances to align personal and professional aspirations with organisational goals. My career spans two decades within the QPS and encompasses many facets of policing but I have always maintained a central focus on safety, compliance and, most importantly, community. Throughout my time in Project Booyah, I have initiated, developed, and delivered a number of partnerships, programmes, and strategies aimed at supporting at-risk youth, as well as training programme participants for walking the Kokoda Trail and accompanied them on the trek. I have been appointed as Acting Sergeant on numerous occasions to provide leadership for broader policing operations. In short, I bring a strategic mindset, expertise and motivation to ensure the organisations with which i work flourishes through effective operational and people management.
