About Joey Fortier

I started my career in IT over 5 years ago, originating with an independent IT company serving the West Kootenay's since 2001. From these simple beginnings, I gained hands-on experience, fueling a passion for the industry and a never-ending thirst to understand, adapt, and overcome challenges and problems wherever they come from. Our motto to serve our customers with a compassion and understanding akin to family become ingrained into me, and I'm proud to have taken these morals with me in all facets of life, with my crowning achievement having contributed to the recognition and award from the Chamber of Commerce in the City of Nelson to Voytech Computers. Since then, I've advanced my interpersonal skills and technical knowledge, rising up in the challenging environment Sherweb had offered and flourishing in my independent resourcefulness to succeed. With a friendly demeanor and efficient reliability, I earned my way further up the ladder, rising to a senior technician and the a Team Lead, functioning as their first line of technical assistance when facing issues. Today, I'm an aspired Security and Networking Administrator for PTW, having proven my reliability and proud to work with a global team of technicians, maintaining our infrastructure in an ever changing world. My ambitions to follow through with my goals and tackle adversity till fruition is a source of pride, only humbled by the value and prosperity I hold for our team.
