Johan has many years of Projects / Contracts Management experience within the EPCM construction, manufacturing and mining industries. Vast knowledge on Project Management; Quality Assurance; plus Health & Safety Integrated Risk Management including Expatriate staff management operating throughout Africa.This includes the following disciplines: Electrical maintenance and Construction of major Substations and national grid Powerlines; Renewable Energy Wind Turbine Projects; Landowner negotiations Servitude rights; Bulk Water services and Roads, Civils and Buildings, various Mining and Oil & Gas Projects (Mechanical and Electrical) plus some major pre-project planning, tender and vendor contractual assessments for major Infrastructure Development Projects.Contracts Management involvement in Major Projects in South Africa and a large number of Cross Border / Global contracts, including Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Mauritius, DRC, St Helena Island and Cameroon.He presented a number of papers at various Conferences including the 2006 International Oil Conference (Houston) and IRCON plus the annual SA Construction Institute for Safety e.g. “Holistic overview on Legal Liabilities”; “Construction Management in Remote locations”; “Lessons Learned from Capital Projects in Africa”.He remains passionate about skills transfer as Principal Consultant within the Project / Contracts and integrated SHERQ management environment and is lecturing on a number of subjects, including Legal Liability for Project Managers and Design Engineers, Internal System Auditing Techniques / Procurement Fraud Risk Evaluations.
