I was the first Commercial Director for global brand Liverpool Football Club, this pioneering appointment saw me take on a remit to broaden the financial, commercial and business development opportunities for the club. In addition, he also has considerable Non-Executive Director and Board level experience of significant transformation change in local government infrastructure and services including health, social housing and care, education and Irish affairs. From his more recent experience of running substantial businesses, John can evidence strong commercial skills as well as a clear citizen / customer delivery focus. John’s strong communication skills, commercial disciplines, drive for diversity and passion for excellence combine with an empowering leadership style. Away from his professional career John has worked extensively with organisations and institutions of importance to the Irish community and to the future of Irish-British relations. He feels privileged to have had such a landscape of opportunity to be involved with The Irish Post, Gaelic Athletic Association, Irish in Britain and Irish Community Care charities to name a few. John currently serves the Irish Government as a member of the 'Irish Government Emigrant Service Advisory Committee'
