About John Ervin

Accounts Receivable Management/Credit & Collections play an integral role in the success of an organization. I enjoy this work and possess the core competencies to succeed in these roles. One of my main strengths is the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally. This skill allows me to be successful in managing customer accounts ranging from the very small to large national corporations. I believe being able to build relationships is a major key to successful AR Management and this is an area where I excel. I have been able to build strong relationships with dozens of customers throughout my career, which has been one reason for my success. At Cooper Tire I had credit granting authority up to and managed accounts with hundreds of millions in annual AR. This position ended as a result of Goodyears acquisition of Cooper. I was offered a role at Goodyear, but was not able to relocate, so I was accepted a severance package.
