I love working with leaders on the next stage of their journey. helping them to thrive and fulfil their aspirations. My focus is to enable leaders to Map, Navigate & Grow successfully. whatever their weather conditions! This entails- Working with MU colleagues to help clients select and develop the right leaders - Advising and mentoring start-up and social enterprise leaders through my own company, Saltmine Ventures - Creating fresh leadership material to inspire a new generation. Towards year-end 2023 we aim to launch the LEAD audio book in partnership with our publisher, Wiley and Recorded Books. Also this year we have developed a refreshed and deepened approach to the Leaders’ Map concept, helping leaders be more proactive in their leadership journey. Early feedback on Leaders' Map 2.0 has been highly positive.'LEAD: 50 models for success in work & life'(co-authored with Andy Blacknell and Andy Coombe) hit #1 Leadership Best Seller on Amazon on its launch. LEAD is the closest that you will get to a personal-business-coach-in-book-form and is the sequel to my first book,'Leaders' Map: helping doers think and thinkers do'. Along with colleagues at MU I also compiled 'Best Advice: 40 leadership tips from 40 leaders.' Over the pandemic period we launched All-Weather LEADership™ Group Coaching to help business teams and leaders be resilient and succeed through all weathers. Nine short videos on All-Weather LEADership™ are available on YouTube. I have worked extensively across the full spectrum of sectors, but particularly in Technology & Science, Health, Construction, Energy and Engineering. I've been privileged to have led business functions, managed departments, led global accounts, sat on senior management teams, worked with Aid Organisations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, sat on School Boards, chaired a not-for-profit company and coached sports teams. Currently I am a Trustee Board Member for a humanitarian charity in the Middle East. My wife and I live in Central London where we are involved in leadership of a thriving multi-cultural church. We have 3 adult children, with their growing families, and we all share a passion for the ski slopes and holidays in Polzeath and Corsica. I am a massive ball sports fan and retain my Cheshire roots by following Crewe Alex.
