About John Lauer

My grandfather taught me the core tenet of my belief system when I was a young man; that hard work was the path to success. Spending over forty years working in a steel mill, my grandfather understood that working hard, both in the short and long term, powered one's drive to complete their goals and make their aspirations bear fruit. Through this mentality, I came to understand my one true passion: project management. The beauty of this realization is that it has allowed me to explore various paths in my career. As a project manager, I worked with small and large groups of people (both client and coworkers) and came to understand the value of everyone's input. As an event coordinator, I learned to be more fluid and see things through my client's perspective, so that a mutual understanding could make their event the best it could be. I am constantly working to improve my skill set and hone my craft. I take great value in communication, teamwork, and passion for the job at hand. In my free time, I enjoy learning new skills through certification programs, such as Coursera. I am currently teaching myself IT support, so I can adapt quickly to new technologies being introduced in my industry.
