About John Mallard

John Mallard is an experienced Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operations Officer who specializes in semiconductor engineering and water filtration and has served as a senior executive for numerous high technology companies. John began his career working for the National Security Agency (NSA) in Fort Meade, Maryland. He departed from the NSA to work in the private sector in the early days of PC computing and worked to design the first laptop computers. John worked for Zenith Data Systems for 4 years when he lived in Taiwan and worked to design and manufacture the first laptops introduced in the world. Following his time at Zenith Data Centers, John took the next step in his career where he helped found and spearhead the formation of the PC laptop group at Digital Equipment Corporation. John initiated the electrical engineering group and handled the engineering, design, and manufacturing in Taiwan and Japan. John was recruited into National Semiconductor where he headed the Advanced Architecture Group and later launched WorldWide Marketing. He was then promoted to be the Chief Technical Officer within the Semiconductor Product Groups. After his departure from National Semiconductor, John co-founded Portal Player where he served as President and CEO. Portal Player developed the chip and software for the new Apple iPod and was considered one of the most successful semiconductor IPO’s within the last 10 years. John leveraged his experience and business skills to co-found Clean Filtration Technologies (CFT) in 2005 as the President and CEO. CFT was founded to bring innovative and modern water treatment solutions to the marketplace and was acquired by the Dow Chemical Company in 2012. Upon Dow Chemical licensing the technology to Amiad Water Systems, Ltd in 2017, he served as the Director of the North American Business unit for Amiad Water Systems Ltd. John is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer of Accelerated Filtration, Inc.(AFI). AFI is an early-stage company with a value proposition based on a state of the art, patent protected, disruptive filtration product. It easily and efficiently filters water streams that are heavily loaded with fine suspended solids.
