I love when I can help consultants be successful in the nonprofit retirement planning world. Our mission at TIAA to take care of nonprofit participants—researchers, educators—is what keeps me invested and motivated. I’m honored to be part of an organization that is entrusted to look after those who spend their careers in service of others. As Managing Director of Consultant Relations, I partner with industry retirement plan and investment consultants, guiding them toward the retirement plan solutions that grow their business with plan sponsors. I help them zero in on the right solutions for their customers from among TIAA’s many services. In a way, I work as a translator, clarifying the nuanced language of TIAA’s products and solutions to focus on the unique needs of each plan sponsor and their investment consultant. It’s my job to make sure our team is able to guide and support consultants and clients in this way by: building and nurturing relationships with consultants strategizing new ways to add value for plan sponsors remaining engaged and alert to changes in the nonprofit retirement sector This helps make me a trusted resource when sponsors are looking for innovative thinking around business opportunities in the defined contribution marketplace.
