About John Packer

I’m a full time career coach and strategist. I enjoy working with people who are curious, humble, and hard working. I spent the first part of my career at Goldman Sachs, where I specialized in business intelligence, data operations, and leadership. I led initiatives for global stakeholders to improve processes, create efficiencies, and manage risk. This is where I learned the patterns for getting promoted, negotiating salaries and bonuses, and finding joy in the work. After Goldman Sachs, I transitioned to lead a team at Addepar, a Silicon Valley based financial tech company. In this role I developed a comprehensive employee engagement framework that empowered my team to achieve peak performance and operate at a more efficient level during the company's high growth stage. I pivoted to become a full-time career strategist, and since then, I've had the privilege of coaching many to operate at their peak performance, transforming their lives and careers. In addition to coaching, I host the podcast,"Upgrade Your Career." I live in Salt Lake City with my wife and two sons. Outside of work I love playing basketball, woodworking, and hiking in Utah’s incredible mountains.
