About John Polidora

I'm an Art Director, WorldBuilder, illustrator, character designer, visual development artist and concept artist, though I started my career in March 2003 as a 2d generalist at Konami Computer Entertainment Hawaii. I stayed there for 3 years, doing everything from Sprite animation to environmental concept art, to character modeling and illustration, to environment texture art and character design. In April 2006, I left Konami to work at Blizzard, where over the course of 11 years I spent a heavy amount of time doing visual development art and character design for the company and also painted key art, box art, magazine covers, book covers, comic book covers, promotional art and concept art for all of their IPs, as well as contributing to the creation of assets inside the games themselves. In April of 2017 I left Blizzard to work at Riot first on the Worldbuilding team and then as a Character Designer on the animated series project known as “Arcane.” In September of 2019 I left Riot to become Studio Art Director for StepFive Studios in Seoul, South Korea. In January 2021 I left StepFive as the studio and project was shuttered. In May of 2021 I rejoined Riot games as an Art Lead, working on some very exciting special projects for League of Legends.
