About John Shand

John Shand has over thirty years of business management experience in a diverse mix of corporate structures ranging from a large “Fortune 50” corporation (The Dow Chemical Company) to several medium size companies in various industry segments. The common denominator throughout his experience has been direct involvement in building and managing sales and marketing organizations. Mr. Shand founded Performance Development, Inc. in 1989 and began his focus in the management consulting industry. From inception, the firm quickly grew to serve a wide array of clients in North America and Europe. From 1998 to he also served as Executive Vice President of Manchester Consulting, a $60 million consulting arm of Modis Professional Services. Mr. Shand’s consulting engagements covered a broad mix of industries, including banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, consumer durables, and publishing. He became recognized for his ability to assist clients in building strong sales and customer service focused corporate cultures. As a partner in RJP, his focus is to develop collaborative relationships with the top management teams of client organizations to assist with improving top and bottom line performance by delivering services that directly impact all phases of talent acquisition, management development, and sales organization improvement.
