About Johnna Richardson

Dr. Johnna is a rare entrepreneur with a PhD in Psychology, with a passion to help others and leadership to make an impact. She has been a therapist and trauma specialist since 2001, and started an international non-profit in 2008 helping children use photography as a form of therapeutic expression. Her doctoral dissertation is titled,"Exploring Counselor Perceptions of Expressive Interventions (and therapeutic photography) in the Context of Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).” Dr. Johnna started a photography business in 2009 and has photographed thousands of weddings, events, and portraits. She has conducted numerous photography and therapeutic photography workshops to photographers and therapists around the world, as well as provided consulting and mentoring to other entrepreneurs. She was the keynote speaker at Tel-Aviv University's Phototherapy Conference in Israel in 2015, and discussed how to implement photography within the TF-CBT model. She has also been a psychology professor in numerous different courses at three progressive universities. She continues to inspire and educate thousands of our next generation learners, and seeks further growth to increase impact through leadership. Her more recent experience has been a director building a training institute from the ground up, for early childhood professionals in education and clinical settings. Dr. Johnna has recently launched a new consulting business to support growth-driven leaders, ambitious entrepreneurs and organizations who seek optimal performance in all they do, personally and professionally. Dr. Johnna is obsessed with helping people understand the power of energy management for high performance, resiliency and success.
