Sales wasn’t part of the original plan—it just kind of happened. My first real job was running a local non-profit as the Executive Director. It was a one-man show, and I had to figure out how to keep the lights on. Registration fees helped, but the real lifeblood was sponsorships and fundraising. That meant rolling up my sleeves and making things happen. One day, during a fundraiser, I started cold calling people (yes, after binging The Wolf of Wall Street). I wasn’t just selling tickets—I was having a blast. It clicked: I loved the energy of connecting with people and closing deals. Fast forward a few years, and I’m still in sales. From cutting my teeth as an SDR to leading accounts as a Senior Account Executive at CareerBeacon, I’ve stayed hooked on the thrill of solving problems and delivering results. Today, I get to help companies attract top-tier talent and make hiring faster and easier—a win-win in a tough labor market. When I’m not working, you’ll find me on the golf course pretending my handicap is better than it is, hyping up my fantasy football team (before the season inevitably humbles me), or hanging out with my partner of seven years and our dog, Cricket.
