I have always enjoyed learning new things. You will find that my background is extremely varied, as my motivation to study or work has always been motivated by my passion. As a result, I have become highly capable of adapting to new environments & collaborating with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, as evidenced by international work, volunteering and public service. My dream is to become a policy analyst for the federal government, perhaps in a field related to the following interests: Transportation- Currently work as Analyst in Adjudication at the CTA - Previously worked as facilitator and senior facilitator (mentor) at the CTA- Wrote Honours' thesis on the informal transportation sector in Lima, Peru. International Development & Affairs- Worked as program assistant at IRCC- Interned at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin and the German Consulate General in Toronto- Volunteered at (or represented) prestigious NGOs, such as Oxfam, Amnesty International & Habitat for Humanity- Intricate understanding and travel experience throughout the Global South. Lived in six different countries- Highly developed research, problem-solving and analytical skills obtained by completing Honours degree in International Development Studies and Economics, as well as a Masters in Public and International Affairs. Sports- Worked in sports administration at Ottawa's largest soccer club - Wrote Master’s Thesis on Soccer and International Relations- Creator of Canucks Abroad and Canucks Soccer Chat ( ). Coordinator of a global team of volunteers, administrate & maintain Canadian Player Pool database, as well as live-track professional players on social media- Ran game day operations for Ottawa South United’s League1 Ontario teams and Ottawa Fury, and the Community Cup. Technology- Worked as a Technical Support Specialist for over 4 years at the global leader in academic software distribution- Experienced in trouble-shooting a wide range of technical issues, including the entire Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of many other software products, and quick learner of new ones- Familiarity with many different case management systems. Communication - Fluent in English and German. Basic abilities in Spanish and French- Possess excellent writing skills, both academically and professionally- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills - Excellent customer service and public relations background. Well versed in answering telephones, email and mail correspondence- Experienced in teaching new employees
