About Jonas Abel

Work hard, play hard." That was my motto back in the day on the football pitch, and that's still the case today. My ambition and success are what drive me. Admittedly, that's probably the American in me talking. But it goes a lot deeper than that. And while we're on the subject of mottos, another good one comes to mind."You learn something new every day" was something I was taught early on. And, boy, is that true! 🤓 As a translator, I never stop learning new things. It's like every day is a school day. I have the opportunity to learn about a range of new topics and subjects and expand and deepen my knowledge. And this is where my ambition comes into play again: that sense of achievement when everything pans out the way it's supposed to. Because, quite honestly, when a client of mine is really thrilled with my translation and I can even see "my work" online somewhere or in an ad, that's an incredible feeling! As a manager, I'm driven by the challenge of not only leading my direct team, but also bringing the entire company forward through my ideas, ambition and hard work, by building and expanding customer relationships, and by implementing new business plans. And because it's so much fun, here's one more for the road:"You can't make something out of nothing." That's the credo the athlete, translator and manager in me live by.
