About Jonas Bomans

Hey there! I'm Jonas, based in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I'm passionate about leveraging creativity and technology to drive positive change. I began my journey in Leuven, Belgium, for my bachelor's and master's program in bio-engineering, and moved to Paris a first time to start in a customer-oriented role at BlaBlaCar. During the COVID pandemic I decided to move to Stockholm, Sweden, to start a dynamic master's program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Having been immersed in these diverse international settings, I've gained invaluable insights and experiences, forming the foundations for my professional career. I moved back to Paris right after and started again at BlaBlaCar, this time as a Network Planning Analyst. My scope was to design and optimise the BlaBlaCar Bus network in different geographical zones in Europe. I have experienced some of my proudest moments at BlaBlaCar: from the launch of successful lines that explore new territories, to the creation of an Employee Resource Group for LGBTQ+ employees, thereby contributing to building a more inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. After about 6 years in Paris, my partner and I decided to move to Amsterdam, where I found a new role at Transavia. Within the Customer & Proposition team, where our focus is on the client and their journey, my objective is to make sure that we make the most out of our flight capacity. I try to emulate the motto I learned at BlaBlaCar:"Zero empty seats"! By doing that, we'll be able to offer more people the opportunity to travel, at a lower emission. One of the things that interests me most in this job is using the power of data to shape these strategies and solve complex problems.
