Proven ability to work and think under pressure gained through experience with the Royal Canadian Navy. A dependable, resourceful diver able to acquire new skills quickly. My service with the Royal Canadian Navy (Reserve) has provided me with naval qualifications relevant to commercial diving as follows, RHIB Coxswain qualified, ship's pilot, navigation, explosives qualified, 150 sea days, firefighting, experienced with rope work, security/weapons training, teamwork. During August 2013 worked as a safety diver on the movie set of "Shipwrecked on a Great Lake". In 2008 participated in a Geographic Information System (GIS) expedition that conducted the first ever-precise digital mapping of coral reef biodiversity in the Bahamas. The completed scientific report was presented to the Government of the Bahamas for future monitoring of coral reefs within Petersen's Cay National Park. An avid scuba diver since the age of 12 with cold water experience off Vancouver Island and in the Great Lakes. Warm water experience off Western Australia, Hawaii, Cuba and the Bahamas. Familiar with various cultures having traveled across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia; Eastern and Western United States, Mexico; Germany, Austria, Hungary, Ireland; England and France. A member of a paleontology excavation at an Albertosaurus bonebed site with Prof. Phillip Currie and Dr. Eva Koppelhus at Dry Island Provincial Park, Alberta. I located a 65 million-year-old skull of a soft shell turtle, the most significant non-dinosaur find of the year in Canada. A passionate cabinet maker, I only use the best exotic woods from around the world to craft solid, high quality furniture.
