Background

About Jonathan Funke

I am a seasoned communications professional, business strategist and team leader with a diverse toolset gained from my experience in large corporations, boutique consultancies and tiny startups. The core of my communications experience has been thought leadership in the financial, commercial real estate, healthcare, and broader public policy realms. As an executive, I have helped organizations work more smoothly internally, served as an ambassador externally, and been a “force multiplier” to help senior leadership manage emerging challenges or seize marketplace opportunities. I’ve developed and executed numerous public affairs campaigns and was a co-founder of BlastRoots, Inc, the free grassroots lobbying platform for citizen activists, which we sold to BIS Global, the provider of CharityEngine. In my consulting role, I have helped design, implement, and message change for clients in corporate, advocacy and corporate philanthropy areas. Independently and in partnership with ASG Advisors, these have included significant engagements to help regional, national and global clients achieve their financial reporting, CSR and reputation management objectives.Underneath it all is my passion for storytelling as the ultimate change agent. I've written on politics, finance and culture for Fortune Magazine, the Huffington Post and the New York Press. In television, I am a member of the Writers Guild of America and IATSE 871, having worked most recently on HATCHING TWITTER for Netflix and DR. DEATH, now streaming on Peacock.
