Open minded and try to guide my team down towards the path to success. Chronic thinker looking for the best, or good enough, solution to a problem. Graduated from Virginia Tech in 2015 with a degree in Computer Engineering and a Minor in Computer Science. My experience at Virginia is heavy in lower level programming and computing. Landed a job with Cvent as an Application Support Engineer where my main role was to problem solve and troubleshoot application errors our users would encounter from a day to day basis. The first couple of years allowed me to observe and learn from other development teams on their usage of the technology available to them. Couple years down the road, had the urge to ask my manager to try and get back to my roots and work on a project. Was given the opportunity to work on a Hotel Data Feed to automate syncing hotel data into Cvent's system. It was a success and since was given more and more projects to work on eventually turning into a full stack internal developer for the company. Languages: Java(Dropwizard) JavaScript/TypeScript(Nextjs, Apollo Graphql, Express) Reactjs Databases: MS Sql Server Postgres MySql Couchbase Miscellaneous: RabbitMq AWS SQS Projects: Hotel Data Feed - C# Console application running on a windows server which syncs hotel data from one source to another Internal Misc Management Site- Managed and part owner of an internal website built like a Swiss army knife. Anything that our employees needed to perform their job or save time it was there. Couchbase Management Site- Tool used to show all available couchbase clusters and buckets across the organization allowing developers to pull documents and run N1QL queries RabbitMq/Sqs Management Site- Allowed developers to see all queues in a given rabbitmq cluster. Can insert, download, and remove messages from queues. Scheduling Service - Generic scheduling service built to easily create schedules(like scheduling a report to email) GDPR Site - When GDPR was new, needed to build a process to call several services to find/remove user data and also audit GDPR requests. Internal Admin Site Redesign - 2 year redesign of 10+ year old site that allowed customer services to look up accounts and impersonate users.
