About Jonathan Silk

Having moved away from classroom delivery in 2013, my main focus has been developing E-learning and other alternative delivery methods. My frustration with e-learning has always been the lack of opportunity to bring learners together to collaborate and learn from each other. With the digital revolution in communication platforms and digital tools, such as those found in Microsoft 365, I have found a way to bridge that gap. Creating an environment where distance learning is no longer undertaken in isolation but one where collaboration and group work can take place without the need for a physical classroom. Creating a culture where learning is something done 'by' rather than done 'to' the learner, where learning continues beyond the lesson and a culture of continuous development takes place. Im an organised and strategically aware Learning Solutions Developer with over 10 years experience in adult learning and development. DTLLS qualified and experienced in classroom, e-learning, virtual and blended learning approaches. Currently managing a small team and the L&D lead for digital adoption across an organisation of employees. Creator and lead of a successful digital champions programme of 300+ voluntary members who are helping to support and develop staff whilst the organisation goes through its digital transformation.
