About Jonathan Ward

An experienced and commercially astute project and programme manager who has worked successfully across a number of infrastructure sectors and latterly in rail. Although a civil engineer has the proven flexibility and skills to manage and deliver projects and programmes from conception to completion, incorporating multiple disciplines including structures, stations complete with associated services and control system, HV & LV power distribution (inc trackside), escalators and network communications. On leaving the Royal Engineers in 1997 progressed within 3 years to the Queensland executive team of John Holland Pty Ltd Australia as a regional manager of the engineering design and construction contractor responsible for delivering multiple civil engineering projects at all stages of the life cycle. This ability to adapt combined with a balanced management style resulted in the successful delivery of various infrastructure projects across a number of sectors including rail, mining, marine and water treatment. Has developed leadership skills in managing specialised project design and construction teams in the public and private sectors and in the military. Qualifications and professional accreditation include a degree (hons) in civil engineering, Member of the chartered Institute of Royal Engineers and Member of the Association of Project Managers.
