About Jonette M.

With over 20 years of experience in the K12 education sector, I am a passionate and driven leader who strives to create positive and lasting impact in the communities I serve. I have a strong background in leadership; diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB); and, training and development. As the Chief Empathy Officer of The Equity Firm, I train and develop educators and business leaders in LEADERSHIP and EQUITY PRACTICES. The Equity Firm is a boutique consulting company that I founded in 2015. I also design and facilitate DEI workshops and coaching sessions for local government and community leaders, using an antiracism organizational change model. I leverage my network and expertise to build partnerships and deliver virtual workshop series nationally on topics such as EQUITY, TRUST, and EDUCATION. Lastly, I take my servant leadership seriously. I support the growth and well-being of others in both my professional and personal lives. I have served on several boards of organizations that directly affect the education and health of children and youth within my community. As one who not only believes in the importance of education but also practices it, I am learning a lot being a member of the current cohort of Leadership Chester County where I am strengthening my leadership, business, and entrepreneurial skills.
