With focus on tomorrow I contribute to the future."Grounded in my passion for the medical field, my academic journey began with studying and obtaining a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. During this period, Covid emerged. This pandemic had disastrous effects on the Belgian healthcare system, consequences that were felt even in the hospital laboratories. The insights gained from this led me to choose my university study, namely the MSc Healthcare Engineering.My unique academic path has provided me with valuable skills, including quality assurance, GCP, GLP, problem-solving and analytical thinking, as well as systems thinking and system and process innovation. Armed with this acquired knowledge and skills, my goal is to contribute to the healthcare of tomorrow.Currently, I am employed as a staff member for infection prevention and control within the BRIANT hospital network (Heilig Hart Hospital, Imelda Hospital, AZ Sint-Maarten Hospital, and AZ Jan Portaels), where I am co-responsible for developing and implementing multimodal strategies around correct antibiotic use and the application and improvement of IPC in the involved hospitals.
