About Jordan Everitt

As Research Fellow at the NIHR Health determinants Research Collaboration Torfaen, I work with colleagues to develop research capacity and capability within Local Government, in partnership with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, University of South Wales, and local communities. Our aim is to make Local Government more research-active and embed a culture of evidence-based decision making by supporting public health research to address the wider determinants of health and health inequalities. I’m experienced in mixed-method primary research and evaluation focused on obesity, and I sit in an obesity special interest research group with academic and healthcare partners from across South Wales. I have extensive experience undertaking evidence synthesis projects across the breadth of public health topics, working in-partnership with leaders from Welsh Government, NHS Health Boards and Public Health in Wales as part of the Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre.
