About Jorge Solis

As a double major in Economics and Sports Management with a minor in Professional Selling, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management at the University of Florida, I am I am deeply committed to leveraging my academic knowledge and competencies across diverse sectors. My commitment to leadership and teamwork is evident through my active involvement in extracurricular activities. I served as Vice President of Social Affairs and Athletic Director for Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, where I organized and managed events for over 100 members, strengthening community and collaboration. Additionally, my role as Event Staff at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center, a multi-purpose arena, has allowed me to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons and VIP guests while assisting with event setup and security. Professionally, I gained valuable experience through an internship with PepsiCo Beverages, collaborating closely with the sales team, gaining insights into the beverage industry and enhancing my skills in sales and marketing. More recently, I completed a sports internship with Under Armour on the Go-to-Market team. In this role, I played a key part in planning and executing multiple GTM milestones, each attended by over 200 participants. I led research on corporate trends to initiate the planning of our first global summit in seven years and coordinated a market research trip that analyzed 11 stores across six thematic categories, providing critical insights into strengths and opportunities. I also worked with cross-functional teams to enhance select sales tools and engaged with key partners to drive meaningful improvements across various initiatives. These diverse experiences have equipped me with essential competencies for a successful career in various industries, including event management, customer service, sales, marketing, and analytics. I am eager to further develop and apply these skills, contribute to organizational goals, and pursue my passion for making a meaningful impact in a dynamic professional setting.
