About Joris Lammers

Since 1995 I am working within the Information Technology sector. I worked as an Oracle programmer, as a functional designer, as an information analyst, as a business analyst and the last years 15 years I am working as a business consultant, business/solution architect and team leader in mainly large public organizations. My background is both the technique and the analysis of all different kind of problems which occur in an organization. I am strong in finding solutions to business like problems as well as technical problems. I am contributing the best when I can operate between the two fields. I participated in a lot of projects during my career. I have seen many approaches of organizing projects and organizations (from SDM, to Prince (combined sometimes with RUP), Agile (Scrum) to CMM), using various kind of techniques (classical approaches, UML to archimate) to create the business like deliverables in both relatively small as well as in huge organizations. The fields I worked in are divers, from designing and accompanying the realization of an internet marketplace to the rollout of new telecom products for the B2B market, from implementing a small change in a workflow system, the creation of an integrated business design for large projects to the implementation of standard cloud based software in the application landscape of large organizations. My goal is always to get things done in the best suitable way given the circumstances a project or organization is in. I believe that positive energy contributes to the ability to solve difficult issues and to the flexibility of changing the path a project follows. The business, in my opinion, is always the demanding party and the party which decides what needs to be done. Changes to be made in organizations, in systems or in the system architectures, always contributes to a higher goal - strategy, mission and vision. This is why I always take the big picture in mind when doing projects.
