I never imagined myself being a product manager. I had just spent the better half a year studying for the LSAT and planned to attend law school to make the world a better place. The legal profession was for me. At least I thought… Then everything changed. In 2017, with no previous PM experience, a hiring manager took a chance on me – and gave me my first website and mobile app to manage – Bible.is. I loved the mission and I couldn’t pass it up. I decided to work in this role until my impending entrance into law school the following year. After a few months on the job, it was like a bomb dropped on my reality! I realized my greatest passion lay not in law but in the ability to help people find happiness, peace, and fulfillment through digital products that I can help create – That I, in fact, find happiness and fulfillment in stepping into the user’s mind, gathering requirements and needs, then delivering the least inconvenient way to get them to where they want to go or what they need. I was helping to reshape the lives of our users for the better, and I loved it. Since then, I have managed dozens of apps and seen many of them through concept to market. I love what I do and respect the role! • 6 yrs of experience building, leading and delivering software products and services. • Dynamic leader distinguished for bringing together developers, technical proj managers, and quality assurance engineers in a collaborative spirit to deliver successful solutions. • Exceptional communicator with strong facilitation, problem resolution, and ability to lead cross-departmental teams. • 6 yrs of functional architecture and PM experience in mobile technology. • Experience organizing and facilitating large-scale SCRUM/AGILE projects in multiple geographical locations • Effective at communicating technical solutions to business stakeholders, as well as business priorities to technical professionals. A little more about me: • 2009: I hitchhiked from ABQ, NM to Redding, CA. Took about 3 months – Tons of cool & crazy stories! Message me if you’d ever like to hear one. • 2010: I lived in Israel. Was able to go to Cairo as well and see the pyramids! One of the best experiences of my life. • 2011: I worked as an arborist intern in CT. An extremely fulling role both physically and mentally! • 2012: I lived in Brazil. After a few months, I hitchhiked down to Argentina to see the Foz do Iguaçu waterfalls and have a picnic there; something I had written down on my bucket list a year prior. • I am a husband and dad to 2 kids. My family is my everything!
