About Joseph Yao

Be familiar with the product development and project management of world class software company; Rich experience of working across functional team and feature design; Broad knowledge of internet/desktop software development process and technology (Agile/Traditional); Have strong passion and responsibility in work; Can put up with great pressure; Cherish teamwork As an agile coach, I provide training, mentoring, coaching and facilitating service for many Agile / Scrum teams. On the other hand, I act as a leader and work with other agile practitioners to organize internal agile gathering and sharing events on monthly or bi-weekly basis. In my spare time, I’m an important contributor of agile community in China and Shanghai. I was one of the organizers of both Agile Tour 2011 Shanghai and Scrum Gathering 2012 Shanghai event. Also, I acted as the facilitator for quite a few monthly agile salons, shared several test driven development related topics, and organizing many code dojo and code retreat sessions in those events and salons. While Test Driven Development and Agile engineering methodologies are my focus and expertise, I have quite board knowledge and experience of many agile practices across not only technical, but also business and (organization) transformation area. I love code kata and practice it every day. My goal is to be a great agile coach who can help team to grow and get more for themselves.
