About Josh Philpot
I am originally from Middletown, OH, just north of Cincinnati. I went to college in Virginia at Liberty University where I majored in Classical Piano/Voice and graduated in 2005. From there I moved to Louisville, KY and received a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in 2009. I am currently a PhD candidate at Southern Seminary and will soon enter the dissertation writing phase. My anticipated graduation date is December 2013. My work experience falls primarily in the educational administration field. From 2004-2006 I worked as an Academic Advisor at Liberty University. From 2008-2010 I aided in development and recruiting efforts at Southern Seminary for the Office of Institutional Advancement. In 2010, I transitioned to my current position as the Graduate Programs Manager for the College of Business at the University of Louisville. Since 2006 I have also served as Associate Pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. My wife and I have two children. In my free time I enjoy reading historical biographies, playing the piano, trying new coffee blends, listening to good music, and learning about new technology.
