About Joshua Cahn

Joshua is a member of the Bar of State of California and the Bar of Central District of California. He is an Associate Attorney at Nemecek & Cole. At Nemecek & Cole, Joshua works as defense counsel defending lawyers in legal malpractice and professional liability cases. He also works to defend businesses in business, labor, and employment law cases. In May 2024, Joshua graduated from Southwestern Law School's 2-year accelerated J.D. SCALE program located in Los Angeles, CA with a concentration in Civil Litigation & Advocacy and a focus on Appeals and Entertainment & Media Law. At Southwestern, Joshua participated in the Moot Court Honors Program, the Amicus Project, and the Journal of International Media & Entertainment Law. Joshua served as a Dean's Fellow, a Teaching Assistant, and a SCALE Ambassador. Prior to entering the legal field, Joshua worked as a filmmaker and digital marketer as a free-lancer and for nonprofit organizations. Joshua earned my Bachelor of Arts in History, minor in Jewish Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Joshua strives to step outside my comfort zone as often as possible, whether that is traveling to new places, cooking a new recipe, or challenging his personal experiences and assumptions by learning new perspectives from different people or from the many opinions in Jewish Talmudic law. Joshua's passion for law and advocacy has led him to many positions and experiences, including civil liberties and labor law, education, government, marketing, entertainment, and start-ups.
