About Joshua Tufte

The vast majority of my experience lies in customer service, business startup and management, church leadership, public speaking, and vision casting. I started in martial arts in 1995, and it changed my life. It gave me a healthy outlet for the massive quantity of energy I had. Through martial arts, I learned respect, discipline, and, perhaps most importantly, excellent people skills. I started working at the gym when I was 10, helping teach children classes and cleaning the toilets. From there, I became a full instructor, worked in sales and customer service, and eventually managed 20-30 contractors and employees simultaneously. I now own Edge Fitness and Training with my father, which has two locations and specializes in group fitness, martial arts, and personal training. When I was 18, I accepted a job as a children's pastor in High Point. After just under 4 years, I resigned from that position and became a full-time gym owner and professional fighter. For several years, I mentored with a local church planter on the essentials of leadership in churches, preaching, budgeting, and so on. In March 2020, I accepted a full-time position as the Lead Pastor of The Crossing at Union Cross campus. This involved managing staff, weekly preaching and teaching, volunteer management, church growth training, vision casting, and creative thinking to survive COVID-19 as a church and come out stronger on the other side. On August 18th, 2024, I had my final Sunday as Lead Pastor at the Union Cross campus of The Crossing and planted Passion Church shortly after. August 25th, 2024, was the first interest meeting for Passion in a park in Kernersville. Shortly after my exit at the crossing, we moved to the VFW in Kernersville to continue growing as a church passionate about God and People. Our mission is to reach People Far From God. I’ve owned a web design agency and a computer repair company and have done life coaching at various times. Paired with traveling and the experience of being a professional fighter, I’ve lived an incredible life full of experiences, both personally and professionally. My mission in life is to empower my community to live healthy, secure, and God-centered lives.
