About Josiah Vasquez

Josiah Jose Vasquez (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, Puerto Rican and Dominican artist advocate born and raised in the Bronx. While still residing in NYC, Josiah spent most of his teenage years in Massachusetts, having received his high school diploma from Amherst Regional High School and his B.A. in Drama with a minor in Music from Tufts University. During this time, he continued to incite his passion for the arts, primarily in theatrical performance and makeup artistry. Since graduating university, Josiah is now represented by Campbell Artists, a boutique talent agency that represents talent that identifies as actors, models, and/or dancers. Still interested in stage acting, they have credits with Columbia University, Prospect Theater Company and The Void Theatre Collective. Josiah also professionally models, having worked with major brands such as JBL, Clinique, Kiehl's, and Keys Soulcare. Aside from that, they have begun reigniting their passion for dance through the EMERGENYC Flagship program, most notably dancing for Bessie Award winner, Arthur Aviles, in his revival of Untitled #1 After Martha Graham. Moving forward, Josiah hopes to continue to meld his love for art and activism and to pursue work that challenges how we were taught the world should be.
