About Joyce Teo

An advocate for the charitable sector, a believer of building and empowering communities and an advisor for strategic giving is what I like to do. Most recent working experience is in the areas of philanthropy advisory work, programme development and grantmaking. I am a professional with a passion and proven track record in the nonprofit management particularly for corporate community investment (CCI) and philanthropy work. I greatly enjoy working in this space and looking for new opportunities to apply my skills and different ways to contribute to the development of CCI work because their success will translate to more resources and greater social impact to our local communities. I am currently with Community Foundation of Singapore working closely with donors to realise their philanthropic aspirations by bridging their charitable interests with impactful community programmes. My other related experience includes employee volunteer management, communications, organisational development and events planning. To build better communities through philanthropy, I believe strongly in establishing and maintaining genuine and long lasting relationships with charity partners, colleagues, donors and business partners to acheive common goals. Every disadvantaged individual or community has its own well of strengths and opportunities that just needed to be unlocked and harness to overcome the current challenges. And good philanthropy and grantmaking can make this happen by bringing all the different parties together to build this capacity for change. Currently working hard towards one day in near future to lead or head a team growing philanthropy for social impact or performing community affairs for a corporate organisation with strong CSR motivations.
