About Joynab Uddin

I am a highly skilled, multilingual Social Pedagogue who is extremely enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams. I am an evidence-based practitioner and I strive to promote parity of esteem. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills gained through over 12 years’ experience working with children and young people. I have a first class honours degree in Education from UCL. I have experience of working with a range of learners including gifted and talented and those considered as having special educational needs and disabilities. I have enjoyed a number of roles in the education sector. This includes working as a Safeguarding Lead, Cover Teacher, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Behavioural Support Worker and Learning Mentor. I have also taken part in an international teacher exchange training scheme with Opportunity Education in China, which highlights my ability to work in a multidisciplinary context. In order to transition to an educational psychology role, I completed my MSc in Psychology (accredited by the British Psychology Society). I also successfully completed the Level 4 university accredited mentoring certificate provided by the Greenwich Borough. I started my transition by working as a Wellbeing Practitioner for a secondary school, sixth form provision and Greenwich virtual school. Currently I am working as a Senior Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Officer for the LA. This role focuses on supporting educational provisions meet the needs of young people with EHCPs.
