About Jp Zepeda

Hello, I'm JP Zepeda and I'm currently a Communication for Health (C4H) Consultant doing work for the World Health Organization. With 15 years of experience in the communications field, I specialize in the conceptualization, strategic planning and implementation of targeted and integrated communication initiatives and interventions. This involves the development of well-informed and impact-oriented regional communication plans and strategies, including the development of creative materials such as videos, social media content and campaigns, IEC (information, education and communication) materials, infographics, feature stories and various multimedia products. My current work in WHO supports all technical programmes of the Division of Healthy Environments and Populations (DHP), including prevention of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), tobacco control, nutrition, violence and injury prevention, health-enabling societies and social determinants of health (SDH), healthy ageing, environmental health, refugee/migrant health and gender, equity and rights (GER). My early experience in WHO (from 2013 to 2015) also includes coverage of disasters and health emergencies (particularly Typhoons Haiyan and Hagupit), disease outbreaks like dengue and measles and community health promotion. In my younger years I also have experience in advertising, broadcast and digital production, marketing communications and public relations.
