About Judith Waller

With over a decade of experience in materials selection, product development, and testing, I've had the privilege of working across diverse industries and locations around the globe. This journey has allowed me to develop deep expertise across a broad spectrum of business areas and build a holistic understanding of the product development lifecycle. I hold joint graduate degrees in Environmental Science (Mid Sweden University) and Metallurgy & Science of Materials (University of Oxford), and now combinec this skillset to specialize in the sustainable use of plastic and polymer materials in the sports and outdoors field, with a particular focus on the durability of technical textile products. Throughout my career, I've contributed to a wide range of projects - from materials selection and design for reduced-risk smoking products, optimizing anti-scratch coatings on plastic surfaces, to conducting fabric performance tests for the international swimming federation (FINA). My recent work has included testing bio-based alternatives to fossil-based plastics for outdoor recreation applications and exploring carbon sequestration potential in the Jämtland region of Sweden.
