About Julia Barnes

I started my career in the energy sector, as a Production Accountant for the North American operations in an international oil and gas corporation. It was through my collaborative leadership style and enthusiasm for development, I was able to transition into the International operations, with the focus on internal financial reporting. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on a large international asset acquisition. After obtaining my professional accounting designation and gaining work experience in the world of international business, I was drawn to creating a brand of swimwear that would not only highlight sustainable fashion and garment production, but would become an empowerment piece for all women. Through my work at Honubelle, I have been able to facilitate inspiring community events, make financial contributions to meaningful causes and charities, and have a direct impact on women's confidence. Applying my accounting knowledge, entrepreneurial drive and supply chain experience, I have been fortunate to contribute to the success of a growing fitness company, in a dual role of an Accountant and a Merchandise / Supply Chain Coordinator. I have an innate desire to reflect more authentic beauty into the world, connect and empower people around me, and live an intensely full, active and environmentally viable lifestyle.
