About Julia Sequerth

I am a recent college graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University in Biomedical Engineering and Physics. I have a background in biomechanics and computational modeling, and I am eager to explore and develop my skillset in research and development. I have experience in image-based tissue modeling, in which I completed ROI segmentation, through open-source software such as 3D-Slicer and ITK-Snap. I learned to import these models into FEBio for finite-element analyses on the segments. Additionally, I received training in continuum mechanics and stress analyses of biosolids. Recently, in partnership with an Atlanta-based company, I worked with a team to develop a knee orthotic device to actively assist stroke patients with rehabilitation exercises. This provided me with experience such as collecting information on patient experience and VOC, ideation and modeling, finite element and fatigue analyses, rapid prototyping, initial testing and more. I am comfortable with MATLAB and Python programming languages, and I have earned a professional certification in Solidworks mechanical design for CAD modeling.
