About Justin Lessard
I am the Senior Manager of the Aquatics Integrity Unit, the operationally independent body of World Aquatics responsible for ensuring ethical issues in the sport are addressed with independence and expertise. A lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar, I bring over a decade of experience in sport integrity, including work on complex cases involving doping, ethics, and governance before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Earlier in my career, I worked in the legal department of the International Olympic Committee and later with the Union Cycliste Internationale, where I was involved some of the most high-profile doping cases in sport. Beyond practice, I have contributed to the field academically as co-author of the book International Sports Justice and as a professor of Sport Ethics at EU Business School.
