About Karla Kettle

I started my professional work experience in Australia. My ability to learn quick has allowed me to excel in different career positions and has led to work promotions and other lateral job moves. My primary experiences in Australia were in accounts receivables, payables, and reconciliations but not exclusive to. I have worked in health care, government, and industry, while living overseas. This experience gave me exposure to multiple backgrounds and practices that expanded my knowledge, supported my career development and inspired me to continue my education in the accounting field. During 2015-2016 I spent the year and a half travelling. I have a passion for travel and I believe I have gained valuable skillset because of this. I learned to become adaptable and I endeavor to understand different values. Furthermore, I had to overcome many challenges such as language barriers, different processes and procedures, and grow accustomed to different laws and regulations. Upon returning to Canada, I continued my education at Thompson Rivers University and received my Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2019. From there I went into the CPA program and attained my CPA designation in 2024. I spent 4 years in public accounting during this time. I have since returned to Thompson Rivers University where I continue to broaden my skills as a CPA in Financial Planning and Analysis. Along with my studies, I endeavor to learn French as a second language. Currently I have reached B1 level of proficiency, according to the Common European Framework (CEFR). Finally, I balance my professional life through running, reading, spending time with family and friends.
