About Karolina Parding
My research interest is the workplace; more specifically how employees, and predominantly public sector professionals, experience their conditions for work within and beyond their workplace settings. For instance, I have coordinated a large ESF-funded project on workplace learning (see and I am also currently leading a comparative research project on teachers' working conditions as they relate to choice, competition, marketization and privatization, where Sweden and Australia are the two cases. In addition, I am interested in issues revolving around competence provision, with specific focus on the Arctic region. Yet another example of research I do is that of public sector professionals' conditions for work, as they relate to the introduction of AI (in for of a ChatPal for the clients).
