About Karoline Dutra

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences at Fundação Instituto Capixaba de Pesquisas em Contabilidade, Economia e Finanças – Fucape (2013) and a Master's in Population, Territory and Public Statistics at Escola Nacional de Ciências Estatísticas from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística – IBGE (2017). I’m pursuing a second Master’s degree at KU Leuven: the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Public Sector Innovation and eGovernance. This is a joint master with Münster Universisty and Tallinn University of Technology. The program is adding a valuable knowledge in eGovernance, digital transformation and innovation in the public sector which aligns perfectly with my career path.My experience in the public and private sectors includes elaborating exploratory analysis, construction of indicators, indices, dahboards, automated reports, statistical modelling, and programming in software such as R, Python, Stata, and SPSS. In addition, I have experience in performing analysis in geoinformation software such as Qgis and Arcgis. Finally, I have experience conducting research projects, writing and presenting technical reports.I worked handling and analysing Brazilian official databases such as the National Household Sample Survey (IBGE), Population Census (IBGE), Single Registry (Ministry of Citizenship), Mortality Information System (Ministry of Health), Information on Notifiable Diseases (Ministry of Health), Higher Education Census (INEP), School Census (INEP), among others. Recently, I have been working with microdata of local municipalities and state level government to inform the decision makers about the digital services they provide to citizens.
